Post-Partum Doula

 Loving Care during the

"4th Trimester"

The first 6 - 12 weeks postpartum are often referred to as the 4th trimester. During that time, a new mother needs a lot of downtime, encouragement, and assurance to heal, recover, rest, tend to herself and her baby. Especially the first few weeks, it is essential to provide Mom and Baby with a safe, quiet, calm, healing environment as well as knowledge and experience.

A Postpartum Doula is “a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to a mother after childbirth to help her achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible.”

As your Postpartum Doula, I Offer:

  • Education Before and After Birth

At Sun Valley Helping Hands, I am dedicated to empowering parents through education. My pre and post-birth educational support covers everything from childbirth preparation to post-partum care techniques. I provide tailored information to help you understand the changes during and after pregnancy, ensuring you feel informed and prepared for this new journey.

  • Comfort and Kindness in Times of Vulnerability

The post-partum period is a time of immense vulnerability, newness, and uncertainty. As your doula, I provide a comforting presence, offering emotional support and understanding. I'm here to lend a sympathetic ear, offer encouragement, and provide the kindness you need to navigate this sensitive time with confidence and ease.

  • Household Chore Assistance

Adjusting to life with a newborn is challenging, and household tasks can be overwhelming. My post-partum doula service includes help with chores around the home. From cooking nutritious meals and handling laundry to light cleaning, pet care, and sibling attention, I ensure your home environment remains calm and manageable.

  • Newborn Care Guidance

I am committed to helping parents feel comfortable and confident in caring for their newborn. I offer hands-on guidance in baby care basics, including feeding, bathing, diapering, and soothing techniques. My approach is gentle and patient, ensuring you gain the skills and confidence to care for your little one effectively.

  • Professional Referrals

Navigating the world of post-partum care can be daunting. That's why I provide professional referrals to trusted specialists such as lactation consultants, pediatricians, post-partum support groups, and parenting classes. These resources are carefully chosen to support your specific needs, ensuring you have access to the best possible care.

  • Overnight Assistance

Rest is crucial for new parents, and my overnight help service is designed to give you that much-needed break. I can take care of your baby during the night, allowing you to get a restful sleep. This service is not just about night feeds; it's about ensuring you wake up refreshed and ready to enjoy your day with your newborn.
